Who I am
I fell in love with physics in my first high school physics class, and from that moment, I knew I wanted to spend my career sharing my passion for the subject with others.I hold a Bachelor's in Physics, a Bachelor's in Human Development, and a Master's in Science Education: Physics.I’m a certified physics teacher in New York and have been teaching high school physics for 18 years, including AP Physics every year.I’ve taught and tutored a wide range of students—including those taking Conceptual Physics, Physics, NYS Regents Physics, Honors Physics, IB Physics SL, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C (Mechanics and E&M), and intro-level college physics courses.I've served as an official grader for AP Physics exams.I'm the Science Department Leader of my high school.I’m passionate about making physics understandable, relatable, and enjoyable, and I love helping students build both confidence and mastery in the subject.

How I help
- Student-centered philosophy (I work for you)
- A patient, non-judgmental approach (we all learn at different paces)
- Only as much support as the student needs (the goal is for the student to solve the problems, not me)
- A positive, encouraging attitude (we're a team, and we're going to do great things together)
Testimonials
"Chris is an excellent Physics tutor! My daughter was struggling in her Honors Physics class. That changed as soon as she started working with him. Chris is able to explain complex concepts in a way that is clear and easy to understand. He is patient, encouraging, and supportive, which went a long way to building my daughters confidence. Her test grades improved significantly and she earned her way back onto the high honor roll.
Chris was professional and reliable, always easy to communicate and schedule with. I really felt like he cared about my daughter's success. We are so grateful for his help and would 100% recommend him to any student looking for a physics tutor.""Chris was amazing! He stepped in right before my son's two physics AP exams (Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism) and was able to quickly identify and fill in the gaps in his education and understanding. With Chris's tutoring and excellent review packet, my son felt confident and prepared to take his two AP tests.
Thanks to Chris he received 5's on both very challenging exams. Chris was extremely patient, generous with his time and exceptional in his ability to teach complex material. We highly recommend him to anyone needing AP physics tutoring.""Very Knowledgeable and Supportive Physics Teacher
I’m happy to recommend Chris as a Physics tutor for my son. Over the past 3–4 weeks, he has been helping him with the 12th grade Physics C course, particularly in Electricity and Magnetism. Even in such a short time, we’ve already seen a noticeable improvement in both his understanding and confidence. My son genuinely enjoys working with Chris and really appreciates the way he explains complex concepts in a clear, patient, and engaging manner.""Very Knowledgeable/Skilled Tutor
Chris brought my son up to speed in his dual credit physics class. My son feels he has a much better handle on the subject and greatly reduced anxiety. Chris is very knowledgeable in the subject, broke problems down, and explained the material in an approachable way. He didn’t just do the problems for him but taught him the material so he can succeed independently."
